I am a Georgia native, and thanks to my Dad and Grandfather, I have been fishing for my entire life.  I spent the early part of my life fishing for warm-water species on Lake West Point, where I have countless memories of 5AM wake-up calls to try and beat the sunrise.

I bought my first fly rod around age fifteen and practiced casting on my front lawn.  Gatlinburg, TN and Helen, GA were two of my family’s favorite vacation destinations, and I remember drooling at the sight of the crystal clear waters of the Oconaluftee and Upper Chattahoochee Rivers.  My father and I eventually decided to give it a try, and though we didn’t catch much, fishing through the deep canyons of the Smokey Mountains are some of my fondest memories of my childhood.

I found my passion and became addicted to fly fishing for trout in 2012.  Soon thereafter, I began fishing competitively, and was asked to join a rival team.  Fly fishing has become an almost uncontrollable compulsion that I have no intension on trying to curb.  I fish multiple times per week and am constantly in search of new water.  The sport has changed my life in many facets; challenging me in ways I never imagined, giving me a reason to travel, and introducing me to a friend base that I otherwise would never have met.

I am currently an avid competitive fly fisherman and guide, and a member of “Georgia’s First Competitive Fly Fishing Team”, Team Dead Drift.
